1) Log base 5(x^-2x-10)= 2
2) 2^3x-7 = 8 ^2x+2
3) x = log of Square root 512 to the base of square root 2
4) 7^x = 1/343
5) 2x + y^2 - 6y - 12 = 0

1) Convert this equation to an exponential.
Solve this quadratic

2) Try to get the bases to be equal. Change 8 to
Distribute the 3
Remove bases. Once the bases are the same, the exponents equal each other
Solve for x.

Change to an exponential equation
Change 512 to something with a base of 2. Also change square roots into rational exponents

Now remove the bases since they are the same.
Solve for x.

4) Try to get 343 into a base of 7
