Substitute the first number in your ordered pair in place of in the first equation. Substitute the second number of the ordered pair for in your first equation. Do the indicated arithmetic.

Repeat the process for the second equation.

If the result is a true statment IN BOTH CASES, then the ordered pair is an element of the solution set of the system. Otherwise not.
