use synthetic division to find P(2) for P(x)=x^4+6x^3+2x^2-5x+10

Answer by lwsshak3(11628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
use synthetic division to find P(2) for P(x)=x^4+6x^3+2x^2-5x+10
...
2) 1....6....2...-5...10
...._....2...16...36...62
....1....8...18...31...72
P(2)=(x-2)(x^3+18x^2+18x+31)+72
Check:
P(x)=x^4+6x^3+2x^2-5x+10
P(2)=16+48+8-10+10=72 (Remainder Theorem)
