: Solve the equation In(x+5)-In(3)=In(x-3). My answer is 7 could that be right. thanks for any help given. This question is from textbook

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ln(x + 5) - ln(3) = ln(x - 3)
ln((x + 5)/3) = ln(x - 3)
(x + 5)/3 = x - 3
x + 5 = 3x - 9
14 = 2x
7 = x
