Okay from
5^x = 3 * 4^x
take the log and get
log 5^x = log (3 * 4^x)
now apply power rule and multiplication rule and get
x*log 5 = log 3 + x*log 4
x*log 5 - x*log 4= log 3
x(log 5 - log 4)= log 3
x = log 3 / (log 5 - log 4)
then use your calculator
