Question 403899: solving exponential equations
I'm close, but can't quite get it.
the problem is 4 - 2e^x (x is the exponent) = -23
I first substracted 4 from each side
-2e^x = -27
I then divided both sides by -2
e^x = 13.5
then I took a common log of each side
log e^x = log 13.5
x = 13.5
but the answer is ln 13.5. Why?
