Question 403849: I need to solve exponential equations.
1.2e^-5x + 2.6 = 3 (the -5x is the exponent)
I first subtracted 2.6 from each side 1.2e^-5x = 0.4
I then took a common log of each side log 1.2e^-5x = log 0.4
-5x = log 0.4
then i was stuck.
The answer is
ln3/5 is about 0.220
I don't know how to get that.
