Question 341284: Hi, It would be great if someone could help me with this question. I don't know what to put into the calculator when it comes to the 'e'.
In a chemical reaction the amount c(ug) of the starting material left after time t(seconds) is given by the equation: c = 20e^-0.1t
Find the average rate of change of the function between 1 and 2 seconds
Thanks

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
c = 20e^-0.1t
..

c=18.096g
..
Plug the value of 2 seconds

c=16.374g
18.096-16.374=1.722mug/second
