Question 302669: Does the function f(x) = 3^x grow 3 times faster than g(x) = x?
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
g(x) is a straight line with a slope of 1.
f(x) is exponential. Its slope is less than one for x<0 and greater than one for x>0.
-------------
There would be one value of x where the slope is 3, and where it is 4.
For all other points, the answer is no.
----------------------------------------
PS 3 times faster = 4 times as fast.
