Solve for x
log( 2x+10)=log 4x

Answer by sdmmadam@yahoo.com(530)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for x
log( 2x+10)=log 4x----(1)
Applying the rule:[log p to base b =log q to the same base b implies p=q]
we have (2x+10) = 4x
10 = 4x-2x
10 = 2x
That is 2x = 10
Therefor x = 10/2 = 5
Answer: x = 5
You can verify orally!
