Solve algebraically: ln3+ln(x-6)=ln(x+5)
Adding logs means mult so we can write it:
ln(3(x-6)) = ln(x+5)
:
ln(3x - 18) = ln(x + 5)
therefore
3x - 18 = x + 5
:
3x - x = 5 + 18
:
2x = 23
:
x = 11.5
