How do you factor 12v^2-25v-7?
Factors of 7 are 7 and 1 so we know the factors look like:
(?v+1 * (?v-7)
We need 25 for the coefficient for the middle term and the coefficients of the second terms of each factor must be of opposite sign. The factors of 12 are 12, 1,4, 6. and 3:
(4v + 1) * ( 3v - 7)
