Question 250669: My questionis this.
Solve for x.
33.5(3/4)^x = 50(2/3)^x
How would I solve this???
Thanks!!!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
33.5(3/4)^x = 50(2/3)^x
---
50/33.5 = (3/4)^x / (2/3)^x
---
[(3/4)/(2/3)]^x = 50/33.5
---
(9/8)^x = 50/33.5
----
x*log(9/8) = 1.4925..
x = 1.4925../[log(9/8)]
---
x = 29.1782...
----
