Question 22915: I'm having trouble with this text book question can you show me how to solve it
log(3x-7)=2.1

Answer by stanbon!(97)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm going to assume you are using log to the base 10.
Then your problem means the following:
10^2.1 = 3x-7
3x-7 = 125.89...
3x = 133.89
x = 44.30
