Where possible, evaluate logarithmic expressions. 
Here is my problem: log5(x + 4) – log5(x + 1)
log5 x + 4/x + 1
THis is what I got but can you condence it more.

log5 x + 4/x + 1
This is what I got but can you condence it more.

I'm sorry, but that is wrong.  There are only three rules for
condensing logarithms:

1.  logBA + logBC = logBAC

                         A
2.  logBA - logBC = logB---
                         C

3   A·logBC = logBCA 

With this

log5(x+4) - log5(x+1) 

You can only use the second one above:

     x+4
log5 ---
     x+1
