You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x+1)ln2 = xln5

First use the distributive property:
x ln2 + ln 2 = x ln5

As in all simple equation solving, get all the x terms on one side, so subtract x ln2 from each side:
x+ln2-x+ln2+%2B+ln2+=+x+ln5+-+x+ln2
+ln+2+=+x+ln5+-+x+ln+2

In order to get the x in one place, you must factor out the common factor of x on the right side:
ln+2+=+x+%28ln5+-+ln2%29+

Divide both sides by (ln5 - ln2):
%28ln+2%29%2F%28%28ln5+-+ln2%29%29+=+%28x+%28ln5+-+ln2%29%29%2F%28%28ln5+-+ln2%29%29+
x+=+%28ln+2%29%2F%28%28ln5+-+ln2%29%29+
x=+0.7565+ approximately
