Question 133895: this question came from a teacher-made worksheet

I don't know where to start.

Answer by Ganesha(13)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6^(x-1) = 2^(6-x)
Take logarithms on both sides.
(x-1)log6 = (6-x)log2
xlog6+ xlog2 =log6 +6log2
x(log + log2) = log6*2^6
xlog(6*2) =log (6*2^6)
xlog12 = log(6*2^6)/log12 = log384 / log12 = 2.394714728
