I am having trouble solving and checking thje extraneous solution of the following problem:
(2x+1)1/3 = 3
note: the 1/3 is an exponent.
I tried it out and got x=4 here is my work:
(2x+1)1/3(3) = 3(3)
2x+1=9
2x=8
x=4
I would very much appriate any help that you may offer, thank you for your time and effort.
