Question 1180647: Graph the attached logarithm. use the change of base formula to find the output values for the graph
y= log4 X

Answer by ikleyn(52803)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

To graph the function, make a table of its values.

Like this one below,  which I kindly prepared for you.

  T A B L E

    X y

---------------

    1 0

    4 1

    16 2

    64 3

Then take a graph paper and a pensile and mark the points from the Table on the paper.

After that, connect the points on the paper, using pensile.

If you do not like to do this job on your own, you may use the plotting tool at this web-site

www.desmos.com

It is free of charge, and you will get pretty good plots on your own on the free of charge basis.

ALTERNATIVELY,  you may use you graphing calculator to make this plot.

This forum is not an art studio to produce such plots for you.

Have a nice day (!)

It also would be good if you will post your  "THANKS"  to me for my teaching.

Plotting graphs is traditionally considered as most simple routine job,  which  EVERY  STUDENT   M U S T
do on his or her own.

In my school years,  it was considered as a shame if the student can not do it on his or her own.

It was impossible to imagine,  that some student would ask for help from outside for such a routine job.

Now the times changed - - - but it means that it is  EVEN  MORE  IMPORTANT  that the student would develop
relevant skills to do this job on his or her own,  using contemporary available Technology.

It is why I instruct you on how you can make this job on your own.

I can imagine  ONLY  ONE  real situation,  when the visitor comes to the forum with such a request - - it is when

he  (or she)  wants to use the tutors as free of charge work force.

But I will never participate in such exercises.
