Question 1097404: Dear Tutor,
Could you please help me with this question:
Find the derivative of f(x) = (e^(3x))^4 in two different ways, and the derivative of g(x) = ln (x^3) in two different ways.
I know that one way is applying the chain rule.. but what is the second way?
Thank you for helping me.
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the derivative of f(x) = (e^(3x))^4
f(x) = e^(12x)
f' = 12*12x*e^(12x)
===============
g(x) = ln(x^3)
g(x) = 3ln(x)
g' = 3/x
