SOLUTION: {{{12^(x-2)=20}}}
How do you find x?
I did
{{{ (x-2)log12=20}}}
{{{ x-2= (20/log12)}}}
{{{ x= (20/log12)+2}}}
x=20.5326816

Answer by jorel1380(3719) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First off, you have to take the logarithm of both sides:
12^(x-2)=20
log 12^(x-2)=log 20
(x-2)log 12=log 20
x-2=log 20/log 12
x=(log 20/log 12)+2=3.20557135368 ☺☺☺☺
