Question 1023884: THe graph of which exponential equation passes through the points (0,4) and (1,24)? Please show all work and explain. ANswer choices are y = 4 *(6)^x, y = 3 *(8)^x, y = 2 *(2)^x, y = 10 * (3)^x
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi there,
The answer is y = 4 * (6)^x
Using (0,4)
y = 4 * (6)^x
4 = 4 * (6)^0
6^0 = 1
(any integer or letter to power 0 = 1)
4 = 4 * 1
4 = 4
..........
Using (1, 24)
y = 4 * (6)^x
24 = 4 * (6)^1
6^1 = 6
24 = 4 * 6
24 = 24
Hope this helps :-)
