Question 46911: factor by grouping:

30y^2 + 10y - 20
30y^2 - 20y + 30y - 20
(30y^2 - 20y) + (30y - 20)
10(y + 1)(3y - 2)
not even sure if I laid that out right but this one was tricky

(a + 3)(a + 4) = -72
don't understand how the answer is -12,5
I see a^2 + 7a + 12 = 72
a^2 + 7a + 12 + 72
but it's all wrong and I can't seem to figure where it was that I went wrong

Question 47013: physics:
an object is released from a plane at an altitude of 1600 ft.
the initial velocity is 0ft/s. how many seconds will the object hit the ground?
d=vt+16t^2 is the formula but I'm just not seeing where this is supposed to all come together. my guess is that it will fall very darn fast.

Question 47642: How can I isolate R1?
1/1.33 = 1/(R1-6) + 1/R1
This is what I've done:
1/1.33 = R1 + (R1-6)
-------------
(R1-6)(R1)
1/1.33 = 2R1-6
------
(R1-6)(R1)
I did not know what to do after this. I also tried the following
1/1.33 = R1/ (R1-6)(R1) + (R1-6)/(R1-6)(R1)
1/1.33 = 1/(R1-6) + 1 / R1
This as far as I've gone
