Question 188083: can you please give me examples of problems that would be included on a college entrance exam coz i wanna review, my exam is 2 days from now. i 'm a hs graduate for 2 years already, i stopped and i have forgotten how to solve such problems and their formulas. please, please, please help!!!

Question 188305: "Which expression represents an example of the distributive property?"
a) 2(x+3)=2x+5
b) 2(x+3)=2x+6
c) 2(x+3)=2x+23
d) 2(x+3)=2x+3
I'm not sure which one it is, I was thinking b or d. But I'm not 100% sure on any of them. Please help if you can.

Question 190132: I have tried to solve this problem. It is dealing with distributive properties. I need some help. I would like to see the step by step solution for this problem so I can see where I made my mistake. Here is the problem.
Solve for x: 3(4x + 1)-2=9x + 1
