My son is in 8th grade he is learning about solving linear equations and properties I have been helping him identity the steps and he got an equation that stumped all 3 of us him me and my husband
2/4z+4=1/2/3z-1
Our issues lie in the 1/2 in the numerator we have tried to isolate the z and just getting stumped any advice or guidance on this step apprecciated
You need to use parentheses
I presume this is the equation: , with , and . If it is, then:
----- Cross-multiplying
--------- Cross-multiplying
12z - 4 = 4z + 4
12z - 4z = 4 + 4
8z = 8
