FIRST YOU MUST ISOLATE B ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE EQUATION THUS:
M+AX^2+BX+C=0
BX=-M-AX^2-C NOW DIVIDE BOTH SIDES OF THE EQUATION BY X TO ISOLATE THE B TERM THUS:
B=(-M-AX^2-C)/X ANSWER.

IF YOUR PROBLEM IS M=AX^2+BX+C THEN:
BX=M-AX^2-C
X=(M-AX^2-C)/X
