Question 892814: How do I solve for x and end up with the correct set? Please give me detailed step by steps.
5(x-2)^2=125

Thanks so much:)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5(x-2)^2=125
-------
Divide both sides by 5 to get::
(x-2)^2 = 25
-------
Take the square root of both sides to get:
x-2 = 5 OR x-2 = -5
-------
Solve for "x":
x = 7 OR x = -3
