Question 8360: how do I solve 9[5+3(x+2)] ?

First, you'd solve what's in the parentheses but in this case, since there are no like terms, you would move to the next step which is to use the distributive property: multiply 3 & (x+2)
9[5+3(x+2)]
9[5+3x+6)]
next solve what's in the bracket
9[11+3x]
use the distributive property again:
9(11)+9(3x)
=99+27x
