The solution to ur problem goes this way.

3 = 4 -

This can be written as:

Add -3 to both sides of the above equation. This is done because to group all the like terms to one side.

Thus, the above equation becomes..

= 4 - 3

= 1

1w = 5 *1

==> w = 5

Hence, the solution.
