Completely factor 

            X%5E4-R%5E4

That's the difference of two perfect squares.  
The fourth power is "the square of the square". 
So write the expression this way
 
            %28X%5E2%29%5E2-%28R%5E2%29%5E2

Then that factors as

           %28X%5E2+-+R%5E2%29%28X%5E2+%2B+R%5E2%29

But that's not finished yet, because what's in the first 
parentheses will factor some more.  It is the difference
of two perfect squares too.

      %28X-R%29%28X%2BR%29%28X%5E2%2BR%5E2%29

That's the final answer!

Warning: Do not try to factor further!

The DIFFERENCE of two squares X%5E2-R%5E2 factors but
the SUM of two squares, such as X%5E2%2BR%5E2 does not 
factor.
