Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6x^2-7x+2
(3x-2)(2x-1)
now FOIL
3x*2x=6x^2
3x*-1=-3x
-2*2x=-4x
-2*-1=2
so we have 6x^2-7x+2

6x^2-7x+2....
Here's one method; it's called the AC method.
a=6, b=-7, c=2
----------------
Find two numbers whose
product is AC = 12
and whose
sum is sum is B = -7
-------------
The numbers are -3 and -4
---------------
Replace the middle term of the problem with -3x-4x to get:
6x^2-3x-4x+2
----------------
Now factor the 1st terms and the last two terms separately to get:
3x(2x-1)-2(2x-1)
Then factor out the common factor to end the process:
(2x-1)(3x-2)
-----------
Comment:
This may look complicated but it beas guessing.
