3x^3-6x^2-12x+24
Factor by grouping (special case):
3x^3 - 6x^2 - 12x + 24
3x^2(x-2) -12(x-2)
group like terms:
(3x^2 - 12)(x-2)
Factor out a 3:
3(x^2 - 4)(x-2)
Differences of squares: (a^2-b^2) = (a+b)(a-b)
3(x+2)(x-2)(x-2)
