If you mean 12+24x then

12+24x

12(1+2x)

So the answer is 12(1+2x)

12 = 24x
Subtract 24x from each side of the equation.
12 - 24x = 24x - 24x
Combine like terms:
24x - 24x = 0
12 - 24x = 0
Subtract 12 from each side of the equation.
12 - 24x - 12 = 0 - 12
Combine like terms:
12 - 12 = 0
0 - 12 = -12
-24x = -12
Divide each side by -24
-24x/-24 = -12/-24
x = 1/5 (or 0.5)
