um this must be as step ive never heard of that some teacher found a way to make a multiplication problem harder to solve..lol
i can multiply 8 by 240 in my head, a calculator is almost as fast.but there arent any other steps... unless i guess u split the number
example:
8(240)=1920
8(200+40)=1600+320=1920
8(250-10)=2000-80=1920
if thats not right then i dont know what else to explain
9(40+7)=360+63=423
4(150-1)=600-4=596
