Question 549452: what is the inverse property about

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
what is the inverse property about
----
There are lots of inverses.l
Multiplicative:
1*3 = 3
(1/3)3 = 1
So 3 and 1/3 are multiplicative inverse.
-----
Additive:
0+3 = 3
3-3 = 0
So 3 and -3 are additive inverse.
-------
Inverse function:
Feed x to y = 3x + 7 and you get 3x+7
Feed (3x+7) to y = (x-7)/3 and you get x
So y = 3x+7 and y = (x-7)/3 are inverse functions.
---------------------
Inverse elements undo one another.
