one of my kids says the answer is 10x - 3x squared, the other 4x - 3x squared.
we know that -3x(x) gives is -3x squared. the question is the -3x(1) is negative 3x or positive 3x.
does this make sense?

=7x-3x^2-3x
=4x-3x^2
