X=-2 & X+1=0 OR X=-1
PROOF 4*0^3+12*0^2+8*0=0 OR 0+0+0=0 OR 0=0
4(-2)^3+12(-2^2)+8*-2=0 OR 4*-8+12*4-16=0 OR -32+48-16=0 OR 0=0
4(-1)^3+12(-1^2)+8*-1=0 OR 4*-1+12*1-8=0 OR -4+12-8=0 OR 0=0

.
So, the "x"'s are"
4x=0 or x=0
x=.5615
x=-3.652
Factoring the equation than gives:
(4x)(x-.5615)(x+3.652)
Multiply the factors out and you should get the original equation.
