Question 480614: I'm not sure if I chose the correct topic for my problem but... I don't know how to solve for x using factoring.
6x^2 - 5x - 6 = 0

Answer by Anthea Lawn(22)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You can factor the equation like this :
= 0
This means that either the contents of the left hand brackets = 0 or the contents of the right hand brackets = 0
i.e. 2x-3 = 0 or 3x+2 = 0
Therefore x = one and a half or x = negative two thirds
