Question 403191: I am trying to find out why the 3 changes into a 2 in this problem. Here is the work down of this problem. I did this through a math program that I have, but I don't understand this step.
-7x+3[x-(3-2x)]
-7x+3[x-(-2x+3)] on this step here, the 3 changed to a 2.
-7x+3[x+2x-3]
-7x+3{3x-3]
-7x+(3*3x-3*3)
-7x+(9x-9)
2x-9

Nothing has changed , they just switched the places of the ( -2x and the +3 )
