-20 -4x +1=-15
+20-1=19
-15+19=4
4x=4
4x/4=1 cancels out
4/4=1
1x, or just x

Eliminate the parentheses
-20 -4x+1 = -15
Add 20
-4x+1 = 5
Subtract 1
-4x = 4
x = -1
