Few examples of the distributive property:

<--- You multiply the terms inside the parentheses by the term outside.

<--- Two ways to do this one. You can either do the operation inside the parentheses first or multiply the numbers out and then do the operation. Either (after distribution) or operation inside parentheses before distribution.
