Question 347415: Simplify
-3(4n-3)-7(7n-6)

Answer by ovie27(16)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.) In order to simplify, you have to multiply it out, and if you multiply -3 by (4n-3), you will get:
-12n+9
the second, -7(7n-6) is equal to
-49n+42
so, putting the two together:
-12n+9-49n+42
2.) Now, the final step is to put the two like terms together, like so:
(-12n-49n)= -61n
and same for +9 and +42:
9+42 = 51
And now put them together:
-61n+51 is the answer. It is the simplified form of -3(4n-3)-7(7n-6).
