Question 279730: how do i Rewrite using associative property: 2 + (4 + 8)
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Rewrite using associative property: 2 + (4 + 8)
-----
Associate means "to group".
You have the 4 and the 8 grouped by the parenthesis.
----
Since you are adding, you could just as well group the 2 and the 4
to get:
(2+4)+8
