Question 249964: Decide whether the pair of lines is parallel, perpendicular, or neither.
4x + 3y = 5
3x - 4y = 10

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x + 3y = 5
3y=-4x+5
y=-4x/3+5/3 (red line)
This line has a slope=-4/3
3x - 4y = 10
-4y=-3x+10
y=-3x/-4+10/-4
y=3x/4-2.5 Green line)
This line has a slope=3/4
Thus these 2 lines are perpendicular.
