5(n-2)=-24
5n-10=-24 add 10 to both sides.
5n+10-10=-24+10
5n/5=-14 divide both sides by 5.
n=-14/5 ans.
Proof:
5(-14/5-2)=-24
5(-14-2*5)/5=-24
5(-14-10)/5=-24
5*-24/5=-24
-24=-24
