Start with the given expression
Distribute. In other words, multiply the outer term "4" by the inner terms 5x and 6
Multiply 4 and 5x to get 20x. Multiply 4 and 6 to get 24
So
Note: if distribution does not make sense, then try this example
2(3+2)=2(5)=10
OR..
2(3+2)=2(3)+2(2)=6+4=10
