Answer by uma(370) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
p-3(p-4)=2 + (2p+5)
==> p - 3p + 12 = 2 + 2p + 5 [ removing the parenthesis]
==> - 2p + 12 = 2p + 7 [ combining the like terms]
==> - 2p - 2p + 12 = 7 [ adding - 2p to both the sides]
==> - 4p + 12 = 7
==> - 4p = 7 - 12 [adding -12 to both the sides]
==> - 4p = -5
==> p = -5/-4
==> p = 5/4
good luck!!!
