Question 1035315: Hello
I was wondering if you have a statement such as (a/c + b/c)^2 and you want to factor out the 1/c, do you have to also take its square root? since its inside brackets that are raised to the second power?
e.g. 1/sqrt(c) * (a + b)^2 ???
If I am correct, what is this technique called so that I can learn more about it?
Thank you.
Stephen.

I was wondering if you have a statement such as (a/c + b/c)^2 and you want to factor out the 1/c, do you have to also take its square root?
------------
(a/c + b/c)^2 = [(1/c)*(a+b)]^2
= (1/c)^2*(a+b)^2
-----
It has to be squared, not square root.

Zat make sense?
