You can put this solution on YOUR website!

(6x-1)(3x-4) Start with the given expression.

Now let's FOIL the expression.

Remember, when you FOIL an expression, you follow this procedure:

(highlight(6x)-1)(highlight(3x)-4) Multiply the First terms:(6*x)*(3*x)=18*x^2.

(highlight(6x)-1)(3x+highlight(-4)) Multiply the Outer terms:(6*x)*(-4)=-24*x.

(6x+highlight(-1))(highlight(3x)-4) Multiply the Inner terms:(-1)*(3*x)=-3*x.

(6x+highlight(-1))(3x+highlight(-4)) Multiply the Last terms:(-1)*(-4)=4.

18*x^2-24*x-3*x+4 Now collect every term to make a single expression.

18*x^2-27*x+4 Now combine like terms.

So (6x-1)(3x-4) FOILS to 18*x^2-27*x+4.

In other words, (6x-1)(3x-4)=18*x^2-27*x+4.
