Question 112187: I am having trouble graphing this inequality. I have to shade it.
I solved the problem and made the graph but I am not certain where to shade it.
Could anyone please help me.
The problem is 3x-y< 2 and
x+y> 2
In the first equation I came up with the slope is 3/1 and the y intercept is (0,-2)
The points I used for the first line are(2,4)(1,1)(0,-2)(-1,-5)(-2,-8)
In the second equation I found the slope to be -1/1 and the y intercept to be (0,2) The points I used for this line are (3,7)(2,4)(1,1)(0,-2)(-1,-5)(-2,-8)
I made the additonal points so that I could adequately shade.
I just am having difficulty figuring out where to shade this inequality.
Thank you for your help. I know I will have to redo my graph or copy and paste it back into paint to shade.
